The Second International Summit of Aeronautical Materials and Manufacturing Industry in 2016

From May 10 to 12 in 2016, the executive vice president and other five people participated in the “Second International Summit of Aeronautical Materials and Manufacturing Industry” held by Shanghai Society of Aeronautics on behalf of the company at Shanghai Jinjiang Tangchen Intercontinental Hotel. The topic of the discussion is “Focusing on the Research and Development of Aeronautical Materials and Manufacturing Processes”. More than 150 experts and leaders from aircraft manufacturers, design institutes, airline companies, aeronautical material suppliers, aeronautical material inspection bodies have carried out an in-depth discussion according to the hot issues such as the global aeronautical industry opportunities and challenges, advanced aeronautical materials and manufacturing process, advanced aircraft design, 3D printing technology, engine technology and advanced composite materials, shared the latest material technical information and explored how to actively respond to the opportunities and challenges currently faced by the aeronautical manufacturing technology and materials research industry.

Cao Chunxiao, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been invited to this forum to carry out a keynote report on “Green Aeronautical Material Comes First”. 22 experts from home and abroad, including, Yuan Yuhui, the deputy minister of the Department of Standard Material Research of Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute of COMAC and the deputy director and designer of C919 air bus, Wang Peng, the general manager of China of the Engineering Department of GE Aviation, Dr. John Liu, the Leap-1C engine project director of GE Aviation, Thibaud Brunel, the technical manager of Argosy International, Prof. Huang Weidong, the director of Solidification Technology National Key Laboratory of Northwestern Polytechnical University, David Wilckens, the global aerospace business director of SLM Solutions Laser Technology Co., Ltd. have made reports at the forum. A seminar on “how can 3D printing change the design concept of the aviation industry” has been carried out at the forum. 自On the third day of the forum, the participants visited the ARJ21 feeder liner assembly lines and the first large trunkliner Shanghai Y-10 which was developed by our country in the 1970s at the large field assembly base of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
